INDIE all the WAY!!!
If you're inclined towards producing your own music in any way, shape or form (as so many are these days), one of the best places to start is Bryan Baker's INDIEONESTOP site. (It's at http://indieonestop.com/jamroom/ ). I've been working with him ever since he started a (paper) magazine called GAJOOB, famous in underground/independent music circles for it's excellent content and depth of coverage. Over the years, Bryan accumulated massive amounts of tapes and CD's from indie artists, from his reviews of their work in GAJOOB and other web-publishing ventures he started. Well, now it's all "come together", in the form of INDIEONESTOP. A place where artists of all persuasions (not just music, but ALL artists) can call home. You get 100MB free space to place/sell tunes or other artist products... you can sell them direct via his site, or link out to PAYPAL... or, you can just run your own BLOG there. Yeah, I know, there are a lot of sites similar to this popping up everywhere, but the advantage you have with IOS is that Mr. Baker KNOWS what he's talking about (& what he's doing) when it comes to independent artists... more than likely because he is one himself! No "sales pitch" here, because the INDIEONESTOP site is free, in all senses of the word. If you're an independent artist, you owe it to yourself (and to your ART) to stop by and check it out! |
