Get HIP to ARTISTSHARE! As those who are artists know, there are a million and one sites that allow players to upload .mp3 files and attempt to "market" their music. While I'm all for that, there are few of those sites that focus on HIGH-end talent, yet still give those qualified the opportunity to maintain their independence... a site we were just recently exposed to (from a record promoter whose judgement we really trust) is ARTISTSHARE, at: http://www.artistshare.com/home/default.aspx There is a fee to join, but it's much more reasonable than a "legacy label" would charge, and (essentially) the artist maintains complete control over their projects and art. From a player and music reviewer who has seen more than his share of these types of sites come and go, I can tell you that this site will be around for a LONG TIME to come. I strongly recommend this for any artist who needs a web presence that puts him in league with the top "up&comers" in the music world today.
